Vincent Van Gogh (1853-1890) is one of our favourite artist’s at CC. A creative artist who battled mental health issues to produce beautiful paintings that delight people from all over the world.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Obviously an original Van Gogh is out of reach for 99.99% of the world’s folks but right now we currently have three excellent, hand-painted, oil on board Vincent Van Goh reproductions ? one of the eponymous ?Sunflowers?, ?The Bedroom? and ?The Caf? Terrace on the Place du Forum, Arles at Night?.

 

This leads me into telling you about one of the most amazing films I?ve seen in a long time ? it?s called ?Loving Vincent? and it took 7 years to make, with over 100 artists. It?s about his life in Auvers and his subsequent suicide at the age of 34.

 

 

 

 

 

 

It?s an animated film, and the film takes place in his various paintings and his life in Auvers. It has an excellent cast and throughout the entire film the background is constantly being painted. It is simply amazing! You will recognize the 3 paintings that we currently have in stock, and many others he painted during his all too short lifetime. If you love art, and especially Van Gogh, you should go and see this film. In the meantime, we are delighted to have 3 copies of his wonderful work to gaze upon. How sad that he only sold one painting during his lifetime (he gave lots away) and I hope that wherever he is now, he knows that his work the most sought after art in the world.
