About Us

Our Story

Coast Consignment (formerly Consignment Canada) was founded in 2004 by the Beer Family, long-time North Shore residents. Richard (Dick) Beer, the patriarch of the family had originally imported antiques from England in the 1970’s distributing them to antique stores across Canada. Over the years that passion for antiques segued into a passion for all things design including architecture, art history and interior design/decorating.

Dick has since passed away, but Angela and Tina continue the tradition of providing excellent customer service, knowledge and passion by searching for the most unique, high-quality and everyday items that people covet for their homes and/or offices. Our customers range from people renting their first apartment to those furnishing a 2nd or 3rd home. We also take great pride in providing many of the items you will see in film and television sets that are shot in Vancouver.

The Beer family has a passion for quality, craftsmanship and timeless design whether it be furniture, rugs, artwork, lighting or collectibles. We also have a passion for keeping previously experienced items out of the landfill and to operate a sustainable business that has little impact on our natural environment. Together we can help create a zero waste home décor community.

We welcome all people and well-behaved pets (We are dog friendly!) to come in and browse our selection which changes daily. Feel free to take as many photos as you wish – we want you to feel comfortable and excited when you shop in our store and to share that experience with your family and friends.
