Hello to all our loyal Consignors and fabulous Customers and Clients!  We hope you have enjoyed summer in our beautiful North Shore and Metro Vancouver and have had some time for some R&R.

We are continuing to work hard to source beautiful quality and crafted used, new and antique furniture from North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Vancouver, Burnaby, the Tri-Cities, Richmond, Langley, Surrey and beyond.

Ownership

Jonny Beer, one of our founders and owners has decided to step back from the company and pursue new interests.  He will be sorely missed as Jonny has impeccable taste and specializes in vintage bicycles, mid-century modern and high-end brands such as Ligne Roset, Barrymore, Bernhardt, Minotti, Knoll, Poltrona Frau, Paola Lenti, Herman Miller and Roche Bobois.

Other than Jonny leaving, the company continues to be equally owned by Angela Beer and Tina Beer Hamlin (Mother and Daughter). Tina is still working remotely most of the time in Haida Gwaii but is back in the store every 8 weeks. Tina does 90% of the appraisals from her home in Haida Gwaii as well as run the back end of the business, marketing & advertising and IT.

Maternity Leave for Carly

Our beloved Carly Montgomery is going on one year’s maternity leave as of August 10^th.  We are very, very happy for Carly and her husband Dave and of course, Corgi Pepper at the imminent arrival of their little one but she will be sorely missed as Carly is a 10-year trusted employee who can run the business for us when us owners are away.  She really has been a valuable employee and we look forward to welcoming her back when and if she is ready to come to back to work with us.  Please join us in wishing Carly and Dave the best in this exciting new journey!

New Team Member

We are beyond excited to welcome Melissa Reid to our team as Manager, Inside Sales and Social Media. Melissa has years of retail experience in the Consignment world and is a collector of 1960’s & 70’s space age plastics and mod pop art and has one of the finest collections in the City and we urge you to check out her incredible Instagram page showcasing her home. What we take

You may have noticed that we have changed what we take in for consignment these days.  We focus less on antique pieces as they are not as popular on the West Coast.  We still do take some specific antiques such as Canadiana pieces, small French, English and Italian pieces and some unusual pieces. A 3-tiered mahogany server never goes out of style nor does a small inlaid desk or vanity or beautiful Bergere settee.  We are working hard to bring in more transitional style and contemporary furniture along with mid-century modern and retro 50’s, 60’s and 70’.

We are always on the hunt for original paintings, very limited edition prints, vintage posters, signs and sculptures.  We are also focusing on bringing in more jewellery (fine and high-end costume).

We continue to source high end Persian, vintage and contemporary wool, cotton, silk or other fine fabric rugs and are always on the look out for high end table lamps, floor lamps and high quality outdoor furniture that is on trend, be it outdoor rattan, teak, wrought iron or high quality mesh and powder coated aluminum.

Store Changes & Renovations

We are working hard to ensure the store is beautifully curated so you can see the wonderful items we have in stock more clearly.  That means the store won’t be so crowded anymore and you can see all of our beautiful items more clearly.

Even if you are not in the market to buy new pieces, please come in and browse as we love to have you in the store.  We always welcome feedback so please let us know if there are items you would like to see.

Consignment Canada in North Vancouver at 171 Pemberton Avenue is still going strong and we love what we do!  Shopping days are Wednesday through Sunday and office hours are Tuesday.  We always have ample parking in our back parking lot and on Pemberton Avenue.
