In Loving Memory of Bernice Cohen

Bernice Cohen and her husband David, owners of Jubilee Antiques, were Dick Beer’s first customers when he started Consignment Canada way back in 2004 before we opened our Pemberton Avenue store. Bernice and David had been antique dealers for a long time originally hailing from from Manchester, England to Toronto to join family and then on to Vancouver. They were regulars on the rotation of Antique Fairs in Vancouver and were known for their exquisite taste in beautiful antique china, ceramics and art. Bernice is the only person we knew with Moorcroft White with Red Poppy in her own personal collection . We were very envious. As well as being discerning collectors and dealers, they were the nicest people you could ever wish to know. Bernice being a true, down to earth and kind Lancashire Lass. They retired a couple of years ago and we have missed them very much here at CC. Sadly Bernie as her loving husband David always called her, passed away last week. She was a one off and we just hope she knew how much she was loved and esteemed by us and her many colleagues in the business. We will really miss Bernice.
